When we think about Language Arts, the first thing that comes to mind is reading. It is so much more, from letters to phonics to vocabulary. Language is all around us. Don't confine it to writing and reading only. Learn new ways to incorporate coloring, painting, and crafts. Let their imaginations run wild!
Numbers, counting, adding, subtracting... Oh my! Did you know math is more relatable when you get things your child loves involved. Mandy's son loves cars and trucks, tractors. She teaches him to count, colors, addition and subtraction using these items. You can also teach same and different and patterns with the same resources you already have. Let them choose how they learn!
In the spring our boys love science! Science is everywhere. T's boys tapped trees, went to a dairy farm, visited the butterfly garden, and planted seeds this spring. They love the outdoors and love bringing their friends along. Don't contain science to a book or the indoors. Let your child explore the world around them!
